The Official Ireland

Official Ireland is represented by several letters to the future from Irish officials such as the Lord Mayor of Dublin, The Irish Ambassador til Denmark and the Minister of Arts, Sport and Tourism.

Councillor Paddy Bourke, Lord Mayor of Dublin officially sealed the time capsule along with the Mayor of Roskilde, Poul Lindor Nielsen before the Sea Stallion's departure from Dublin in 2008.

As the department with responsibility for Museums in Ireland, Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism, Mr Martin Cullen T.D’s department, along with the National Museum of Ireland, organised the welcome and departure ceremonies of the Viking Longship to Dublin.

In 20th century archaeology one of the principal finds is coins. One of the occupations of modern Irish is money. The Central Bank of Ireland provided a full set of coins and some notes used in everyday circulation.

The 'Central Statistics Office' provided a report on the 2006 census of population of Ireland. This gives full and accurate details of the makeup of Irish households at around the time of the Sea Stallion visit. The Statistics Office also provided information on Irish industry.

The Irish Post Office, 'An Post' issued a special stamp, to mark the arrival of the Sea Stallion, one of which is in the time capsule.
