The Viking Ship Museum offers daily guided tours in English. The guided tours are free once you’ve bought an entrance ticket.

Our daily guided tours focus on the five original Viking ships from Skuldelev, exhibited in the Viking Ships Hall. The ships bear witness to the specialised sea faring of the Viking Age, to wars and raids, trade and voyages to distant shores and life in the North 1000 years ago.
Schedule of English tours during the winter season:
January 1st - February 7th 2020: Daily 11:00 and 13:00
February 8th - February 23rd: Daily 15:00
February 24th - April 3rd: Daily 11:00 and 13:00
April 4th - April 13th: Easter holiday, check daily hours in the calendar
Aåril 14th - April 30th: Daily 11:00 and 13:00
The guided tours are conducted by history and archaeology students. Their stories give life to the original ships and put the discovery of the five Skuldelev ships into perspective in relation to the maritime culture of the Viking Age.
The guided tours take about 45 minutes and cannot be booked in advance.
Groups are recommended to book a private tour.
