Hammer Church

Hammer Church is 4km south of Naestved and was built around 1100. From here there’s a great view of Dybsø Fjord, where the major Viking Age trading centre Vester Egesborg was excavated. Some of the finds are on display at Næstved Museum. The church had its own Viking connection in the form of a Ringerike style inscription in its brickwork, but the bricks were removed and are now part of the exhibition.
