The Library
The library at the Viking Ship Museum is a reference library, only. Books may not be taken out of the library.
Everyone is welcome to visit and use the library on weekdays 9 am-4 pm.
A book token must always be completed.
The monographs and periodicals of the library are registrered in the National Museum's online catalogue NatKat under the following signatures:
ViSk: Library of the Viking Ship Museum
NaSk: Library of Maritime Archaeology of the National Museum
Our library contains besides the books and journals of the Viking Ship Museum also the Maritime Archaeology Library of the National Museum. All monographs and periodicals of the two institutions are kept under the same registration system, with the only notable difference being different ownership stamps on the title pages.
