Meet our craft specialists

See how our boatbuilders use the same materials and techniques as the Vikings used 1000 years ago. The boatbuilders talk vividly about the work of building reconstructions of Viking ships by hand, and how only copies of historical tools are used throughout the construction process. It is also the story of the Nordic clinker boat traditions, which are on UNESCO's list of the world's intangible cultural heritage. You yourself take part in the process, experience the materials and smell the scents.
