The crew arrived in Nanortalik a few days ago and their first task was to find "Skjoldungen", which was stored high up on a pile of containers. The ship quickly got into the water and yesterday the crew invited the public aboard at an "open ship"-arrangement.
Today - sunday 3rd July - the ship and crew are ready for departure. First stage will be to reach Qaqortoq to pick up the eight crew member around July 7th. The weather is beatiful and the voyage can begin under a clear blue sky and a light wind from West.
After three years of preparation the voyage has finally begun.
