Visitors are welcome to visit the boatyard on weekdays between 10:00 and 16:00.
The boat collection is inspected and repaired.
On the boatyard square, you can see the Viking ship currently under construction.
Although the boatbuilders do not work on the Viking ship during winter, there are exhibitions and materials on display at the site.
The Viking ships are placed on land in front of the Viking Ship Hall, where visitors can view them up close.

- The boatbuilders maintain the museum’s boat collection in the winter workshop on Museum Island.
- Exhibition: The Nordic Clinker-Built Boat – intangible cultural heritage.
- Exhibition of Viking Age tools in the Boatyard Hall.
