Café Knarr on Museum Island
Enjoy the atmosphere on Museum Island and dine on food inspired by the Viking world at Café Knarr, which overlooks the boatyard and the museum’s many beautiful wooden ships.
The museum café serves dishes inspired by Viking cuisine. Café Knarr offers salads, sandwiches and hot meals, as well as cakes, hot drinks and a wide selection of organic juice, soft drinks and beer.
Everyone is welcome at the many indoor and outdoor tables on Museum Island. Food and drinks are ordered at the counter.
Packed lunches and picnic area
Visitors who bring their own food are welcome to use the lunchroom, which is especially suitable for school groups or families.
It is also possible to eat packed lunches at the café’s outdoor tables or on the large lawn overlooking Roskilde Fjord.
Restaurant Snekken
Restaurant Snekken is located close to the museum and offers views over Roskilde Fjord and the marina.
The restaurant can also be used for private parties, conferences and events.
