The Læborg Stone

The fourth known rune stone with a link to Ravnunge-Tue is at Læborg Church, 6km south of Bække. Originally, it probably stood by the roadside on the Ancient Road. It says: “Ravnunge-Tue carved these runes in memory of Thyra, his queen.” Two Thor hammers are also carved on this stone. As in the case with the stone at Bække Church, this is possibly another reference to King Gorm’s Queen, Thyra. But in the Viking Age, "queen" could also mean wife or mistress and, besides, Thyra was a common name. So maybe it was just the case that Tue was married to a Thyra.
