The Ferslev Stone Ship

With a length of just 14m and width of 10m, it doesn’t look like much today, but there’s no doubt that the person commemorated here was an important Viking. The ship was the Vikings’ preferred means of transportation; both in real life and in death, but only specially selected people made their last journey in a stone ship monument like this.
