Because of a continued forecast of unfavourable winds it has been decided to tow the Sea Stallion from Egersund in Norway to Kirkwall on the Orkney Islands. The distance across the North Sea is therefore left out of the research plan for 2007 in favour of securing the time needed for carrying out the planned test sailings north of Scotland and in the Irish Sea – the home waters of the original ship. The Sea Stallion is expected to arrive in Kirkwall in the afternoon Tuesday the 17th.
