Experience sailing in traditional Nordic wooden boats

Buy tickets for a boat trip on Roskilde Fjord

Row and set sail aboard one of the Viking ships’ descendants, traditional Nordic wooden boats. Sailings take place from 1 May to 30 September.

Admission to the Viking Ship Museum is included in the standard sailing ticket.

How to buy tickets

All sailing tickets must be purchased online in advance.

Select your preferred date to see available departure times, then choose your ticket type and complete your booking

Copenhagen Card and other free-entry cards

If you have a Copenhagen Card or another card that grants free admission to the museum, you do not need to pay for admission again.
Instead, you only need to purchase a supplementary sailing ticket. Your card covers museum admission, and the supplementary ticket covers the sailing experience.
Supplementary tickets are only valid when presented together with an active and valid card on the day of the sailing.

Please note: One supplementary sailing ticket is required per person. Each ticket must be used together with a valid card. (Annual Pass, Seasonal Pass, Copenhagen Card, Friends’ Association or Boat Club).

Supplementary sailing tickets are not available for evening sailings, courses or other events.

Language requirement

Participation in the sailing requires that you understand and speak Danish or English.
