It turned out to be yet another day pulling the oars - now even with the rain pouring down all day. Everyone and everything was wet when the ship found shelter in the small township of Qassimiut with only 25 inhabitants.
The crew got a very friendly and warm welcome - as everywhere - and was offered a dry accomodation in the township's closed fish factory. Before long every room was filled with clothes and gear hung up to dry. In the evening the crew had the opportunity to enjoy their first catch - a delicious cod.
Tuesday morning the sun is out and the forecast predicts yet another day without wind which means the crew once again will be pulling the oars all day while cruising between archipelagoes and narrow passages.
Rowing:
Rowing takes place in turns. There are 8 people aboard the ship. At any time there will be 6 people rowing. Every 15 minutes there will be a rotation with 2 people replaced. Consequently every person will row for 45 minutes and then have a 15 minutes break.
